Search fee range £25.00 to £30 Sterling per hour subject to record types and location. [Click here for currency converter]

Copies, certificates and post & packing are always quoted and charged for separately and will be included in any total due.

Payment can be accepted in one of the following modes.

UK current account cheque
Sterling draft (must be payable at London)
International Postal Order (must be payable at London in Sterling)
Card remittance via PayPal - carries 4% PayPal handling on to total

Wherever possible an effort is made to offer clients a package within a budget to which only the cost of copies and postage has to be added. However, this is not always possible but typical searches are completed in the range of 2-6 hours. Searches are always undertaken as quickly as possible. Where delays occur, clients will be kept informed. No guarantee is made or implied that records may be identifiable or that they have survived although every endeavour will be made to indicate what might be obtainable when supplying an appraisal and budget costing and will take all reasonable professional care to find information within the bounds of what is reasonable in terms of time spent and sources consulted.

Payment is upon completion of a commission at which time details of records and references consulted will be provided. All document mailings are sent under stout manilla cover. Air Mail consignments are mailed at printed paper rate.

Sometimes research can take a commission outside of the normal operational area. In such cases efforts will be made either to guide enquirers to another source or help will be provided to help them take up contact with another reliable, professional researcher best suited to their needs. Military & Historical Searches has extensive contacts throughout the UK and Europe and also liaise with active correspondents in most English speaking countries on an ongoing basis.
